Game publisher Warner Bros Interactive of the action-adventure video game “Batman: Arkham Knight” has just revealed that three more DLCs will come to the game before the end of the year.
But the disclosure did not just stop there as the publisher went on to say that there will also be at least two more DLCs coming to the game next year – one in March 2016, coinciding with the release to global theaters of “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and another one in November next year.
In fact, the two DLCs to be released next year are known already as “Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and “Batman vs. Superman: Batmobile Pack.”
The three DLC packs that will come to the game before the end of the year include the Challenge Packs, the Skin Packs, as well as a new expansion pack that shall also come with a new story. The new contents will be the second to fourth additions to the game after the “Crime Fighter Challenges Pack” came out in August, details Bidness ETC.
“Batman: Arkham Knight” was officially released to the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC on June 23. However, the PC version was full of bugs which prompted game developer Rocksteady Studios and game publisher Warner Bros Interactive to pull the plug on the variant of the game on the PC.
Subsequently, both the developer and the publisher announced that they will be re-launching the PC version of “Batman: Arkham Knight” in the fall this year.
So in addition to the three upcoming DLCs for the video game, fans and gamers should be anticipating the re-release of “Batman: Arkham Knight” in the PC within the next few weeks.
New Easter egg in the game
Meanwhile, a new Easter egg was found recently by a player in “Batman: Arkham Knight” and he immediately shared his finding on the public forum Reddit.
The new Easter egg can be found near the elevator and is quite similar to that of Arkham City, where the text is written in really small letters.
Easter eggs are special presents in video games intentionally placed by developers which aid the player during gameplay. They are the game’s secrets left for the players to discover.
Most Batman video games have hard-to-discover Easter eggs. Many secrets would even be discovered years after a certain game’s release. In fact, in the video game “Batman: Arkham City,” the predecessor of “Batman: Arkham Knight,” the Easter egg was discovered after more than a year.
The user was just fortunate to discover quite early an Easter egg on “Batman: Arkham Knight” and that is quite an accomplishment and also worth sharing on Reddit.
A controversial addition
“Batman: Arkham Knight” is actually the conclusion to the critically-acclaimed video game trilogy developed by Rocksteady Studios.
The first in the series is “Batman: Arkham Asylum” released in 2009, followed by “Batman: Arkham City” after two years. The third and final video game is “Batman: Arkham Knight” which was released in June of this year.
When “Batman: Arkham Knight” was released, it came out to highly positive reviews and praised for its spectacular presentation, as well as smart additions to the long-established freeflow combat system, details Screen Rant.
But it also came with its downsides. Other than its problematic release on the PC, the most controversial addition to the game was the Batmobile. Although it is a feature that had long been requested by fans and gamers, the tank combat has left plenty to be desired.
