There are lots of opportunities in the universe of Batman, as the superhero’s franchise has gone through a long development path and we’ve seen various additions to it over the years. Some of those characters have been somewhat forgotten lately, but we’re sure that the developers of the game can find creative ways to bring them back.
With all this in mind, “Batman: Arkham Asylum” should definitely have a lot more life left in it once the game’s technical issues are addressed, as it’s obviously made with a lot of love and attention and it’s not just another run-of-the-mill production.
But the entire mess surrounding its release just goes to show that one of the oldest clichés in the gaming industry is very true – gamers remember the initial release and a bad game stays bad forever.
There might still be hope for this game since it was pulled from the shelves pretty quickly after the issues came up, but it might also turn out to be doomed at this point. The only way to know is to wait and see how the players are going to respond after the full patch has been completed and released, and hopefully they’re going to approach it with an open mind instead of remembering the initial release and continuing to base their opinions solely on that.
