The much-anticipated action-adventure game Batman: Arkham Knight, which was supposed to release last month didn’t. The new report is that the game will come out finally on January 2015. Batman: Arkham Knight is being developed by the team at Rocksteady Studios and will be released by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It focuses on the DC Comic hero Batman and will be the fourth game of the series that started with Batman: Arkham Origins.
Kevin Conroy, the voice actor for Batman has said that the delay in the release has been because of the creators and visual artists, who have been busy making Batman: Arkham Knight a total success. Conroy also said that the game is set to have a rather interesting plot.
The plot for Batman Arkham Knight picks up from where it ended in Batman: Arkham City, which released back in 2011. The game showed Batman at the height of his powers. He is now going to have a face-off with Scarecrow. Scarecrow, previously called Dr. Jonathan Crane, was a respected doctor. He became a rogue scientist on being bullied for his troubled childhood days. He has now returned to Gotham City and is out to kill the Batman.
Scarecrow is not alone. He has united with the other known villains, and they team up against Batman. He brings together Harley Quinn, Two Face, Penguin, along with the Arkham Knight. The identity of Arkham Knight will soon be revealed, and speculations are out!
The latest piece of scoop is the revelation that James Horan, the voice actor for the journalist Jack Ryder is also going to be the voice for the Arkham Knight. This piece of news has kicked off the rumour mill that Jack Ryder might be the Arkham Knight. Like the real identity of Batman is Bruce Wane, the real identity of the Arkham Knight might be Jack Ryder.
Ryder has met Batman, when the latter saved him on numerous occasions. It will be interesting to see what happens when the Arkham Knight meets Batman and when he ultimately realises who the Arkham Knight is.
There is also news regarding Superman featuring in Batman: Arkham Knight, where George Newbern will lend his voice.
Rocksteady Studios, when asked about the frame rate and resolution of Batman: Arkham Knight, said that it is suitable for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the Windows desktop. However, when specifically asked about the PlayStation version, the developers were not yet ready to answer because it’s still in the development stage.
The news that gamers would love is that with Batman: Arkham Knight, Rocksteady plans to bring out parity between platforms. No matter which console the gamer uses, the game will run effortlessly.
