Meanwhile, the show seems to have some more positive changes lined up for Norma for now. Her marriage to Sheriff Romero will give her the help she needs in order to sort out her insurance situation, so that should give her some peace of mind for the time being.
It would also add an interesting twist to the story for Norman. If he is indeed going to kill his mother, the fact that she’s married to the Sheriff would put an obvious spike in his plans, and it will require him to be a lot more careful in his approach.
This might also be a setup for the character, and we wouldn’t be surprised if he found himself between a rock and a hard place in a few episodes if his condition kept deteriorating on top of everything else around him.
“Bates Motel” has its dark moments, but it also manages to bring an interesting sense of positivity to some situations portrayed during its episodes. The show’s atmosphere is unique to say the least, and it’s one of the main reasons for the dedicated following it’s managed to attain. We trust that even if the producers are planning to take out Norma’s character, they are going to do it in a way that allows them to keep the plot interesting.
