Bandai Namco Accidentally Confirms ‘Dark Souls 3’ will be Coming in 2016

Bandai Namco appeared to be in panic mode after accidentally revealing the release date of the role-playing video game “Dark Souls 3” in 2016. The gaming company has posted an automated YouTube tweet confirming the existence of the game. They immediately deleted the post but an English Twitter user successfully saved the screenshot of the post.

Sayem Ahmed had this small clip indicating @BandaiNamcoUK’s post that has the caption “Only embers remain #DarkSouls3.” The original post has the YouTube link for the possible teaser but the company has either deleted the video or has set its YouTube settings to private after the accident.

Fortunately for the fans, they did not have to wait so long to get the preview of the game. Bandai Namco has recently released the trailer of “Dark Souls 3.” The official trailer highlighted the hulking beasts and gothic settings for the third installment of the widely-anticipated video game. However, the clip did not receive too much air time. It was squeezed in between Microsoft’s presentation and the new game, “Tom Clancy’s The Division.”

Critics believe that because of the leak, Bandai Namco’s enthusiasm was lessened. Nonetheless, it was a good trailer and a game to watch out for in 2016.

On the other hand, the gamers are already breaking down the details of the trailer to get an idea on what to expect from “Dark Souls 3.” The trailer begins with a character carrying a body past a dim bonfire. Then, there was a layover of words saying, “Now only embers remain,” just like the caption in the previously deleted leaked video.

Then, there was the shot of the remnants of a castle that looks more like a debris than an actual infrastructure. Others are suggesting the place to be the ruined Drangleic from “Dark Souls 2.”

The trailer also showed people walking amongst the ashes. These could be the merchant characters from “Dark Souls 2.” Then, there was an interesting scene showing a person reaching for a crown. In close retrospection, the crown appered to be emanating Darkness. This could be King Vendrick’s old crown or one of the crowns made available on the “Dark Souls 2” DLC.

There was also a dark area with gravestones that could be the Undead Asylum from “Dark Souls 1.” In the following scene, a giant comes in and he was trying to get up. The giant has the crown so he could be the Giant Lord from “Dark Souls 2.” Then, the giant screamed in pain signaling the infection caused by the Corruption to make him a Demon.

Dark Souls

Rumors suggest that the bosses in “Dark Souls 3” could be influenced by the heat up effect where the appearance and the power of the bosses can be interchanged. Others suggest that all the bosses from “Dark Souls 1” and “Dark Souls 2” could come back to the third installment and unite. Aside from the original bosses, rumors report there will be 45 new enemies in the field.
