Avatar 2 to See Jake Sully and Neytiri’s Children? Find Out!

At the heart of the box office success of the epic science fiction film “Avatar” lies the love story of the human Jake Sully, played by Sam Worthington, and the Na’vi Neytiri, played by Zoe Saldana.

Now that the sequel is possibly about two years away from premiering, fans are curious about the relationship of the two characters.

Worthington and Zaldana will be reprising their well-loved characters in the sequel to play lovers now and perhaps chieftain and priestess Jake and Neytiri, but conflicts in their relationship arise as the film will also mark the return of humans causing havoc once more.

According to MNR Daily, aside from being together, the film will see Jake and Neytiri as parents. If this is true, then their children are technically half-human, half-Na’vi, as Jake’s body had been grown using human DNA mixed with the Na’vi DNA.

It would be very interesting to see what their children’s role will have to play in the world they have created and how the new conflict will affect them.

There is no word yet if the sequel will see the main characters as parents, but the thought of this has boosted fans’ excitement.

Director and writer James Cameron have kept his mouth zipped on the details of the forthcoming film. He and his team have been hard at work nonetheless to provide audience the justifiable sequels for the franchise.

The sci-fi franchise is confirmed to be a tetralogy set to release one a year from December 2017 through 2019. The first film was released back in 2009.

For the next three films, Cameron is joined by “War of the Worlds” writer Josh Friedman, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” writer Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, and Shane Salerno of “Armageddon.”

Word is that the three sequels will be filmed back to back so that they can meet their target release dates of 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Movie News Guide points out that Cameron is really taking his time to finish the upcoming sequels. The “Titanic” director is working closely with New Zealand-based software and graphic company, Weta Digital, to oversee the pre-production process for the three sequels.

Cameron earlier stated that he has a slew of ideas and his situation is really difficult as it is hard to distribute all his ideas in the next three sequels so that each addition to the franchise could make history.

Meanwhile, “Avatar 2” is set to be an emotional roller coaster ride. That is how Zaldana describes the upcoming film.

Speaking to MTV, the 37-year-old actress says that the film will see the main characters apart from each other because of the new problems that arise in Pandora. A huge war is apparently going to take place between humans and the Na’vi that will separate the lovers from each other.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” actress adds that despite the emotional weight the film bears, the sequel will be wonderful and is set not to disappoint fans.

The latest news fans have gotten for the much-anticipated sequel is the release of a drawing of one of the characters of “Avatar.”

The early glimpse of an unknown female Avatar character was tweeted by Jon Landau, the film’s producer.

The producer did not confirm if the character was Zaldana’s Neytiri, but from the looks of it, it will possibly be one of the film’s promotional materials.

In other news, it seems like “Avatar 2” is set to welcome back two characters from the first film who had already met their demise.

As per Movie Pilot, Sigourney Weaver’s Dr. Grace Augustine was shot by Quaritch while escaping. The Na’vi attempted to save her life by transferring her consciousness into her avatar body, but she dies before the process can be completed.

  1. After nine years I hope Jake has at least a couple of young sons or daughter and son. The more defiant and arrogant the better. Jake Sully deserves the challenge.

  2. Have these Na’Vi children love their parents, but make John Connor in T2: Judgment Day look like a sweet boy compared to Jake and Neytiri’s kids.
