The director said that more than the release dates, he is actually more concerned with the gap between all four sequel releases.
Cameron said that they have not moved the target release date thus far but he is willing to if they need to. He added that the important thing for him is not when the first one comes out but the cadence of the release pattern.
He explained that the four films should be released as close together as possible.
The “Avatar 2” director said that if it is going to be an annual appointment to show up at Christmas, he wants to make sure that they are able to fulfill that promise.
