Cameron also revealed that the writing for all sequels is actually being done simultaneously, and this should help prevent any serious plot holes down the road. When we consider that Cameron is planning such an extensive continuation of the first “Avatar”, it does make sense for him to prepare more carefully.
But in general, it also sounds like he’s under a lot of pressure and has a lot of work to do, so hopefully the director is going to pull off the whole task properly and not leave out any important details.
Many people have been waiting for this sequel for a long time now, and it would be disappointing to see anything less than perfect from it. The definition of “perfect” varies heavily from one fan to another, of course, but as long as Cameron makes sure to not miss any important details, he should be fine.
Hopefully the director isn’t going to keep us in the dark about details from the new film for too long though, as there is a lot of time left until December 2017 and we aren’t sure that some fans will have the patience to wait that long for new information to be revealed, especially if all we get are rumors.
