There have been rumors that the plot of “Avatar 2” could be significantly darker than that of its predecessor.
A prison theme has been mentioned more than once, and it sounds like Cameron really wants to test his fans in some regards with this release.
But even if that’s true, there might be a light at the end of the tunnel still – we know that “Avatar 2” is not going to be the last installment in the franchise and Cameron is planning to expand the films further, so the darkness of “Avatar 2” could turn out to only be something temporary leading up to a massive dose of positivity in the next film. Of course, that’s just a theory repeated by more wishful fans.
It will probably be a while before we hear anything a out “Avatar 2” at all, and by then we will likely get even more rumors about the film. As this latest incident clearly showed, those who enjoy following the rumor mill should take everything with a grain of salt. Even more false rumors will come in the future, and it’s important to not get fooled by them. Otherwise, one’s impression of the film can be really ruined by the wrong expectations that some of those rumors can often set.
