The internet and social media have been abuzz as of late with the impending release of the Japanese anime “Attack on Titan” Season 2 and latest rumors have it that it shall be introducing new, menacing, and more dangerous Titans that would be out to kill all of the human race, reports the Parent Herald.
The initial reports were saying that the reason why “Attack on Titan” Season 2 was delayed because the show wanted its manga source material to have a two-story arc headstart from the anime TV series.
Now, the reports are saying that the second season of the hit TV series shall deviate from its manga source material, which in effect, left the show with no plausible excuse for its delay except perhaps for the efforts of the show creators to make “Attack on Titan” Season 2 really great when it finally hits the small screen.
Game-changer for Eren and friends
At least two new Titans shall be emerging in Season 2 of “Attack on Titan” which would reportedly serve as a game-changer for Eren, Mikasa, and their friends.
Accordingly, the new Titan Zeke will be far different with Eren in Titan form since Zeke is going to be a more intelligent Titan who will be appearing like an ape and comes with the powers of speed and strength.
Zeke shall reportedly create more havoc and potential death to the Survey Corps.
In addition, there are also reports saying that the relationship of Mikasa and Armin shall also be highlighted in Season 2 and they would end up being more than just friends. Eren would not like the idea as she believes that she and Mikasa are the ones who are meant to be together.
February 2017 release date
From a late 2016 air date, “Attack on Titan” Season 2 will reportedly premiere on the small screen in February 2017 although the show creators have yet to come out with a statement to confirm or deny it.
The rumor was actually based on the latest promotional image of “Attack on Titan” posted on Shingeki TV, cites the Vine Report.
Also during the “Attack on Titan Junior High” reading and live event held in July, the host read a letter from creator Hajime Isayama saying that the airing date of the forthcoming season of “Attack on Titan” is going to be delayed indeed
After much speculation, the release date of the second season of the Japanese anime TV series “Attack on Titan” has been confirmed to happen in February 2017 although no exact date has been given out yet by the producers.
At this time, fans of the anime are looking forward to the release of the first trailer of the TV series soon, if not sooner.
Latest reports have it that Season 2 of “Attack on Titan” shall be dealing more about the back story before the apocalyptic world came to be, leading to the emergence of the Titans.
The first season of the anime TV series did not explain how the Titans came to be or why and how the surviving group of people is confined within the walls to avoid the Titans. That is precisely what Season 2 is going to answer when it finally unfolds in February next year.
With that premise of a plotline, Season 2 shall also be delving into the story of the Reiss family and how Historia Reiss, also known as Krista Lenz and the daughter of Rod Reiss, went to join the Survey Corps.
The second season shall also focus on explaining the use of the ‘Coordinate’ and how the Reiss family was able to use it to gain power.
There are also reports saying that the second season of “Attack on Titan” shall feature more fierce and scarier Titans. Some would even be found to be hiding within the fortress.
In fact, there will be a new beast Titan that shall appear and it would resemble an ape that can brutally slaughter its opponent just by its sheer force alone.
