The other big question on the minds of most fans is whether the story will be preserved with respect to the original manga, or if the showrunners are going to take more liberties with it in the future.
The show doesn’t necessarily have to follow its original story word for word, but at the same time deviating from it too much would probably disappoint many of the core fans of “Attack on Titan”, and would drive them away.
Of course, such a change could also have a positive impact with regards to pulling in new people, but at that point the producers might just as well start a new show with an entirely new name and stop changing the premise of “Attack on Titan” so much.
This is all based on speculation though, and hopefully it will turn out to be false, as the show has been doing very well until now and it’s had a great run. Some changes in the premise will probably not hurt it, but the producers will just have to be careful not to overdo it.
We hope to hear more information about the show on the official front in the next few weeks. In the least, the producers should give some hints about their status by the end of the year, just to put their fans’ minds at ease and let them know that things are coming along fine.
