Despite the massive bezel that surrounds the screen of the Asus ZenWatch 2, the body looks slim and very stylish.
As it is, the main selling point of the Asus ZenWatch 2 is its superb battery life which has an astonishing longevity most critics say.
Apparently, Asus has shrunk the battery down to fit inside the smaller watch. Its 300 mAH battery for the smaller model returns 57 hours of standby in ambient mode while the 400 mAH battery for the bigger variant gives 56 hours of standby in the same mode.
Asus is also releasing an accessory called the ChargeBack, which is a small 155 mAH extended battery pack, specifically intended as back up to the ZenWatch 2 in the event that the user does not have access to a charging station even after four days.
The ChargeBack is a magnetic charger that clips to the Asus ZenWatch 2 in order to dramatically improve battery recharge times. Using the accessory, the battery will reach 50% capacity in only 36 minutes.
Asus has also significantly improved the software of the ZenWatch 2 compared to its first-generation model. The device still has the fitness tracking features, along with a new wellness app for the phone including a comprehensive remote control for the camera.
