Every once in a while, there is a company that tries to release a new smartphone into the market that is going to shake things up a little between the big names like Apple, Google, HTC, LG and others. One of those companies, which has had success in the tablet market, is ASUS. Having partnered with Google and other companies in the past to bring consumers tablets, ASUS is looking to shake up the smartphone market with the new Asus Zenfone Max.
When you think of the smartphone that you are holding, the odds are very good that you are wishing that a couple of things were better on it. Those things might include the screen size, the resolution, or the amount of RAM that is installed in the phone. All of those things are great features to keep an eye open for when looking to upgrade, but one of the even more important features would include the smartphone battery life.
These days, with more processing power, larger displays and more apps than you can shake a stick at, the battery is taxed right from the very first day you turn the phone on. In most cases, the battery is the most marketed feature about a new smartphone as well, as consumers hope to get through an entire work day on just one charge. With the new Asus Zenfone Max, battery life has been talked about already and according to the sources posting online, the new smartphones coming from ASUS are going to include larger, 5000mAh battery.
That battery size is the normal in the smartphone world these days and has forced companies to make the battery more efficient in order to make them last longer. Other companies have gone above and beyond that mark with batteries in the 4900 to 6020mAh range. ASUS announced the Zenfone Max last August and it will reportedly be considered a lower mid-range smartphone with a couple of high end features like the battery. That 5000mAh battery could set the standard quite high for other companies that shave bits off the battery in order to keep a thin profile on new smartphones.
The Asus Zenfone Max is quite a bit cheaper than the other smartphones in the same category which includes the Marathon M5 and the Vibe P1. This time around, ASUS has decided to focus mostly on keeping the battery the most efficient part of the hardware and there is no doubt that it will get the attention of those looking to upgrade. A few online publications have reviewed the new phone and found that it is a solid build with many worth while features.
