The highly-touted Asus ZenFone 2 is now out in its home market in Taiwan and the Taiwanese tech company is about to do the same for its flagship smartphone in key markets like China, Hong Kong, Singapore and France very soon.
While reports the other day cited that the fully-packed Asus ZenFone 2 will launch on March 31 at the earliest, it looks like the Taiwanese company got its work cut out and decided to launch the very popular smartphone in its home market first.
It is expected that the highly-acclaimed Asus ZenFone 2 will subsequently roll out on April in other international markets including India, Italy, and other countries in Southeast Asia. The smartphone is expected to hit the Brazilian market in June, reports Phone Arena.
There is currently a strong demand worldwide for the Asus ZenFone because aside from its very competitive price, it is also equipped with fascinating features that are normally found on flagship smartphones of big name smartphone makers.
Rollout price
The Asus ZenFone 2 rolled out in Taiwan with the base 5-inch model, considered as the entry-level variant, coming out with a very affordable price of $158.
However, the higher version featuring a 5.5-inch display with 1080-pixel resolution, a 4GB RAM and a 32GB storage came out with a remarkable price of $285.
It is expected that the prices of the Asus ZenFone 2 will increase a bit higher when it more or less completes its global roll out, particularly in the western markets where it seems to have established its own niche among smartphone users.
The Taiwanese tech company is also reportedly planning to release a much higher 64GB version of the Asus ZenFone 2 which it intends to launch during its rollout to the western markets
Asus has already featured the 64GB variant in its website and the Taiwanese company has also released a video of the Asus ZenFone 2 which has all the trimmings of another blockbuster smartphone.
Remarkable features
Just like its predecessor, the Asus ZenFone 2 shall have remarkable features and performance, which goes well with its very competitive and quite affordable price, compared to the other smartphones of today.
The Asus ZenFone 2 is believed to be loaded with the Android 5.0 Lollipop, with free upgraded to Android 5.1 Lollipop considering that Google has already released the firmware update a few days ago.
The Asus ZenFone 2 is to be powered by a 1.8 GHz Quad Core processor with a 2GB RAM and 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, the basic features of some of the high-end flagship smartphones found in the market today.
As the key features of the other high-end smartphones are also highlighted in the next generation smartphone of the Taiwanese company, the Asus ZenFone 2 is expected to make a run for the honor in becoming the highest-selling smartphones in developing countries.
