The Asus ZenFone Zoom features an aluminum unibody that forms the sides and area surrounding the lens. The rest of the back of the phone is plastic and is removable to access the SIM and microSD card slots. While Asus has yet to confirm the particular detail, it is expected that the Asus ZenFone Zoom shall have a dual-SIM feature like the ZenFone 2 and a generous 3,000 mAh non-removable battery.
The camera component of the Asus ZenFone Zoom also gets a big boost from the ZenUI camera app.
With the exception of its superior camera features, the ZenFone Zoom has very similar features to the ZenFone 2 including its quad-core Intel Atom processor that is now equipped with the new and more powerful Z3590. The processor has a faster clock speed of 2.5 GHz and GPU speed of 640 MHz than the Z3580 found in the older ZenFones.
The processor makes the Asus ZenFone Zoom as the most powerful Asus phone yet, although it is not likely to remain that long, considering how fast the Taiwanese smartphone maker develops handsets.
The rest of the other features of the smartphone are basically the same with the Asus ZenFone 2, including the 5.5-inch IPS 1080-pixel screen display and the very significant 4GB of RAM. The Asus ZenFone Zoom will be available with up to 128GB of internal storage.
