Assassin’s Creed Victory To Be Released In 2015, Game Set In 19th Century London!

The 2015 Assassin’s Creed game is set in the 19th century London during the Victorian era to be accurate. It has been codenamed Assassin’s Creed Victory, according to a recent report delivered from Kotaku. The game will release during next fall for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 consoles along with the Microsoft Windows PC. According to Kotaku, Victory will be developed by the Ubisoft office situated in Quebec.

It is a something worth noticing as this is the first time that development for the title in this franchise has shifted its course from Ubisoft Montreal. Ubisoft Montreal has been the lead developer for most of the major games since 2007. According to the source, Assassin’s Creed Victory will be released only on the current-generation consoles and furthermore, it will be the only Assassin’s Creed title out next fall. All of this depicts a change in Ubisoft policies as till now they released Assassin’s Creed Unity for the current-gen consoles and Assassin’s Creed Rogue for last-gen.

Its predecessor Assassin’s Creed Black Flag was released across all the consoles, old and new. A 7-minute gameplay footage video of Assassin’s Creed Victory displays an in-development version of the title, which, according to Kotaku, runs on Ubisoft’s Anvil Engine. It was the same engine that Unity was developed on.

The video showcases a sequence that displays an unspecified main character/protagonist in the background running around London and jumping on to a train in order to fight the Templar Enemies. The video also reveals a grappling hook type of item which could have a massive effect on the gameplay. As reported by Kotaku, the grappling hook permits the gamer to attach to any surface, further allowing the player to gain on a target or escape rapidly.

Meanwhile, following the leak, Ubisoft has issued a statement that reveals a confirmation for Assassin’s Creed Victory. According to them, it is always rather unfortunate when the internal assets are leaked, especially when they are not meant for public consumption. They certainly welcome the speculation, rumors and anticipation regarding their future titles.

They are quite excited to unveil what the studio has to offer, on a later date. Meanwhile, Ubisoft’s number one priority right now is to enhance the gameplay experience of Assassin’s Creed Unity for world gamers. Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed fans tell Ubisoft that they want a break after the Victory footage leak worldwide.
