The historical action-adventure open world stealth video game “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” will officially hit the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC on October 23.
While the visuals and the overall gameplay are what make the “Assassin’s Creed” games distinctive, it is expected that the latest iteration to the franchise will make another great stab at history.
Based on the trailer and recent gameplay walkthrough of “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” some of the historical figures that will be present in the game include the painter Leonardo Da Vinci, Scottish scientist and inventor Alexander Graham Bell, and first American president George Washington, details Games Radar.
In addition, there will also be the likes of philosopher and revolutionary socialist and father of Communism Karl Marx, English social reformer Florence Nightingale, English naturalist and geologist Charles Darwin, and English writer and social critic Charles Dickens.
The game shall interestingly highlight the interaction of the protagonists, Jacob and Evie, with these historical figures.
Alexander Graham Bell will actually serve as the designer of weapons of the twins. Evie will also be seen in a heated discussion with Karl Marx while Jacob will annoy Charles Darwin, which means that the historical figures are not merely props in the game but shall also have their roles in the gameplay and colorful relationships with the protagonists.
More historical figures
So far, those historical figures are the ones confirmed to come to the game based on its released gameplay trailer. But there are hints that there might be some other historical characters that will take up the Templar mantle.
Critics believe that there can be at least one more historical figure coming to the game and may are saying that it is possibly Scottish scientist David Brewster.
Gamers would surely know the answer once “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” makes it into the gaming shelves beginning on October 23.
Victorian Age transformation
As part of the promotion to the upcoming video game, an area of Central London will be transformed to the Victorian Age on October 20, three days before the official rollout to the gaming consoles of “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.”
The event is already sold out, but those who were not able to get tickets to the gig should be happy to know that there will be live streaming, notes IGN.
Nearly every fan of “Assassin’s Creed” games want to be part of the event because accordingly, the game developer Ubisoft will release never-before-seen gameplay footage on “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” as narrated by game director Scott Philipps as well as the unveiling of new Templar Hunt mission.
The developer shall also be responding to gamer questions regarding “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” in order for them to fully enjoy and savor the excitement of the game.
“Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” was previously titled as “Assassin’s Creed: Victory” but for some reasons, Ubisoft renamed the stealth video game.
While the “Assassin’s Creed” franchise is one of the most popular video game series these days, there are still plenty of gamers, particularly the novice and also the occasional gaming types, who are not too familiar or adept with the plotlines and gameplay of the “Assassin’s Creed” games.
“Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” lead writer Darby McDevitt said that Ubisoft writers have created 500, 600, 700 years worth of history so that they can start teasing it out for the next 10, 20 years, or however long they will be around.
He added that he has been working over the last two years with all the other Ubisoft writers and they all have pieced together voluminous documents on the First Civilization.
“Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” is the ninth game in the historical fiction action-adventure open world stealth video game series that follows the successful launch of “Assassin’s Creed: Unity” and “Assassin’s Creed: Rogue in November last year.
