Ashley Graham Pushing Young Women to Embrace their Curves

The world’s most popular plus-sized model Ashley Graham is continuing her advocacy to push young women to embrace their curves no matter what their sizes are.

The model is now an outspoken body activist who likes to give her thoughts on body image, confidence building, and feminism, reports USA Today.

In fact, as part of the celebration of the Women’s History Month this March, USA Today has organized a social media session with Ashley Graham on March 17 with her fans where the curvaceous model is expected to talk about being a plus-sized model and being proud of it, among other things of course.

The 30-minute social media session with Ashley Graham is slated at the early evening of March 17th and fans can participate on it by simply logging in to the Facebook page of USA Today.

In a recent video interview with USA Today, the American model talked about turning the negative public connotation normally associated with being a plus-size model into an opportunity to help women appreciate their figures and embrace all body types.

Passport to fame

Although a renowned personality already, Ashley Graham’s major passport to fame this year was her historical appearance in Sports Illustrated’s Curves in Bikinis ad last month in the publication’s prestigious annual swimsuit issue.

While plus-sized modelling is often viewed as second fiddle, if not inferior, to standard modelling, Ashley Graham continuously strives to change that perception with her ever confident modelling stride and naturally beautiful looks.

Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Ashley’s vital statistics measure 38-40-46. Standing at five feet nine inches with her long and flowing dark brown hair, she has a shoe size of 10 inches.

Before appearing on the Curves in Bikinis ad in Sports Illustrated, the 28-year-old plus-sized model is best known as a lingerie model for the plus-sized clothing store Lane Bryant.

Always proud of her curves

Ashley’s exposure in the Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue that came out on February 9, 2015 was groundbreaking and history-making. It was the first time for the publication to feature in an ad a plus-sized model, details USA Today.

Following her appearance on the historic Curves in Bikinis ad, the model took to her Twitter account and said that she just loves her curves and is not afraid to show them to the whole world. She also said that she feels honored to be the face of Curves in Bikinis.

The ad featured Ashley in a black string bikini striding along a pool area as three gentlemen get awed by her curvaceous body and good looks.

The plus-sized model added that she wants every woman to know that their curves are sexy too regardless of their sizes. She said that being big is no reason to hide but to flaunt it at every chance they can get. She also cites that the world is ready for more curves in bikinis.
