While Arrow Season 5 is still on hiatus until its next return on January 25, the DC superhero that started it all has already revealed the synopsis for its eleventh episode titled “Second Chances”.
In the latest episode during the winter mid-season finale, fans were fully blown up at the end of the clip revealing Laurel Lance’s coming back to life.
It can be recalled that after what it seem to be her mysterious returnhad sparked a hope for Oliver and his team that their beloved Black Canary friend is miraculously alive and will head back to help the team.
However, as the new promo already revealed the real identity of Laurel Lance, it would likely put Oliver and his friends in a problematic situation as they are about to learn that the Laurel Lance they have met recently is the evil alter-ego of their deceased friend—the Black Siren from Earth-2.
The real motive of Earth-2 Laurel Lance to the team has not been revealed yet but it appears that she has escaped the Star Labs’ prison for metahuman in the Flash universe.
While as seen in the first sneak peek of the series, Oliver also revealed while talking to John Diggle, who was held captured by National Security Agency (NSA), that he is determined to find his former Russian trainer, Talia Al Ghul in order to help him trace the real identity of Prometheus.
This season’s mad villain has recently created a tremendous havoc in the lives of people closest to Oliver noting that he is really seeking for revenge to justify his father’s death who was killed by Oliver few years back during his early vigilantism.
During the earlier episode of Arrow Season 5, it has revealed that Prometheus’ father who is Justin Claybourne manipulated the drugs to battle Tuberculosis in cure the patients affected. Oliver had to kill Claybourne to stop his illegal deeds which triggered Prometheus anger to spend four years of training to prepare for vengeance.
Though Prometheus’s identity has not been revealed yet, this will start Oliver’s quest to trace the villain’s previous connections by starting with Talia Al Ghul.
Reason for it was Oliver’s curiosity on Prometheus’s skills and abilities in fighting because they both possess the same for which Oliver concluded that they had the same trainer in the character of Talia Al Ghul.
As the eleventh episode’s synopsis entails, Talia Al Ghul will take Oliver under her wing while he takes another mission to take down another villain named Konstantin Kovar in Russia where it will start to introduce the new character.
However, Talia Al Ghul will not offer her help for free which means she would something in return which will make Oliver unsure of accepting his former Russian trainer’s help.
According to sources, Talia Al Ghul is the half-sister of Nyssa Al Ghul—whom we have seen first in earlier seasons of Arrow. She will play a crucial part in uncovering the real identity of Prometheus which can be used by Oliver to track him down.
As per the show runners, Nyssa’s half-sister will also be seenin thefew more episodes to come in the hit TV series.
Talia Al Ghul will be portrayed by Lexa Doig who is formerly best known in her portrayal as Rowan in the 2001’s science fiction-horror movie “Jason X”, the tenth instalment of the “Friday the 13th” film series.
Episode eleven will also likely feature Felicity’s hacking skills to bust John Diggle out of prison. But she will find it difficult to do as she is about to meet someone who possess the same exemplary level of skills as hers. In this case, another question will pop out to find this new enemy of hers.
Now that the show runners have hinted earlier that Felicity will soon seek out for revenge against Prometheus, it will surely bound to happen in order to justify her boyfriend’s demise.
It has been reported that Felicity Smoak will come in to terms to stand on her own and do everything she can to have Prometheus get killed.
