‘Arrow’ Season 5 to Feature the Vigilante and Wild Dog Who Could Be For or Against Team Arrow!

Before he was officially referred to as Arrow and eventually as the Green Arrow, Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell, is regarded as the vigilante of then Starling City in the American superhero drama TV series “Arrow.” Starling City eventually turned into Star City.

Reports now have it that a new Vigilante will be one of two major characters coming in the upcoming Season 5 of “Arrow” when it returns to The CW on October 5.

Based on the comic books, the Vigilante is the alter ego of Star City District Attorney Adrian Chase who is a more of a law-and-order guy under interim mayor Oliver Queen. But it is not clear if he is going to be for the cause of Team Arrow or against it.

It is well known in the TV series that the Green Arrow takes justice in an extra-judicial fashion which the Vigilante may find not to his legal mantra. However, given his moniker, it is also possible that he would share the brand of justice of the man in the green hood, notes Comicbook.com

A gunslinger coming out party

In addition, there are also reports saying that Wild Dog could also be featured in Season 5 of “Arrow.”

Wild Dog is also a DC Comics superhero whose first comics came out in 1987 and his power is not really supernatural but guns. Wild Dog is more like a gunslinger and really knows his way around with guns.

The character is also a vigilante but very well-loved by people because he likes to clean up the streets of lawless elements. His character may also be for Team Arrow or against it depending on how the showrunners would like it to be.

His alter ego is Jack Wheeler who was able to go to college because of a football scholarship. He had to drop out later following an injury and he enlisted with the US Marines only to see all his friends dying from a terrorist bomb. He went back home and worked as a mechanic. He also fell in love with a woman who was unfortunately gunned down in a seemingly random shooting. He later learned that it was a hit that was orchestrated by his father who was a member of the mob.

That was when Jack snapped and lost it all so he turned to become Wild Dog.

Back in politics

Season 5 of “Arrow” shall also see Oliver Queen going back into politics. In Season 4, he was forced to quit the race for the mayoralty, but towards the end of the season, he was appointed as interim Mayor.

Leaked pictures of the filming of Season 5 of “Arrow” showed Oliver Queen addressing the press at the Star City Hall, which was shot at New Westminster City, Canada, reports the International Business Times of Australia.

The leaked photos also showed a new character joining the show in Coast City reporter Susan Williams, to be played by Carly Pope, who shall always be on the lookout for a scoop on Oliver Queen.

There are also reports that Oliver Queen might again be getting a new superhero suit in “Arrow” Season 5.

The actor recently teased his new costume in a video he posted on Instagram, showing him wearing a black costume.

In another video the actor posted on Instagram, he expressed his elation about crossing the three million mark of followers on the social media photo-sharing app. The video clip has been taken in between takes and the actor can be seen with cuts and bruises for an action sequence.

The Green Arrow is going to be meaner but not evil in the upcoming Season 5 “Arrow” when it returns on The CW.
