For Felicity, Prometheus and one and only Prometheus is the perpetrator. In the second half of Arrow Season 5, she will be seen stepping towards a darker phase of her life in pursuit of the masked madman.
Mericle said that they are going to paint Felicity in murkier shades this season. And Billy’s death has provided them a perfect motive to explore the character’s darker side. This introduction of Felicity into the darker realm was marked this season with Bill’s death.
The route that Felicity would take to make Prometheus pay for his wrongdoings is improbable to be morally suitable, and she will require the assistance of those who are not part of her gang, according to Mericle. And because of her new contacts, the darker form of Felicity might end up isolating herself from Oliver and the original team.
Felicity is going to meet some people who are both a bit tangled to her past but also very much tied to this new future she’s planning, and that’s going to lure her away from the team and cause her to do some things that are quite morally dubious.
