Arrow Season 5 Episode 10 Promo Hints of the True Identity of the Returning Laurel Lance and Her Agenda Against Team Arrow!

Fans were left with a cliffhanger when Laurel Lance, played by Katie Cassidy, made a surprise appearance during the winter finale episode of “Arrow” Season 5.  The episode, entitled, “What We Leave Behind,” also saw Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell, in great disbelief upon seeing Laurel inside the Arrow cave.

Oliver just came from his romantic interlude with his current girlfriend, Susan Williams.

Aside from knowing that Laurel Lance is back again to life, assumingly to kick some ass in the second half of “Arrow” Season 5, fans are also happy and excited to see Katie Cassidy back on the show.

But how her character plays in Team Arrow will soon be unveiled when the upcoming episode starts to air on January 25.

The first sneak peek of the upcoming episode entitled “Who Are You?” has been released a few days ago.

The promo showed Oliver Queen talking via the telephone prison racket to John Diggle, who apparently got arrested for a reason which will soon be revealed in the next couple of episodes. Oliver was telling Digs about Laurel coming back to life.

Upon learning of Laurel’s resurrection, John Diggle was also left bewildered and even asked how that could be possible knowing that the Lazarus Pit has been destroyed already.

But despite John Diggle’s reaction to Laurel’s return, Oliver still described Laurel’s appearance as some kind of mysteriously magical.

The internet exploded with a lot of speculations about how Laurel Lance could still come back to life as if nothing worst happened to her.

One of the theories circling on the internet was about the Lazarus Pit of Ra’s Al Ghul of the League of the Assassins.

Lazarus Pit is a phenomenal yet extraordinary well of water to restore powers and supernaturally resurrect anyone who died.

It was the same case with Laurel’s sister, Sara Lance, played by Caity Lotz, and also Oliver himself when he was almost killed during his fight with Ra’s Al Ghul in Season 3.

Back in Season 4 of “Arrow,” the Lazarus Pit has been destroyed already by Nyssa because she cannot believe the fact that Malcolm Merlyn stole the position to be the leader of the League of the Assassins instead of her.

This happened after Oliver surrendered the position after he defeated and killed Ra’s Al Ghul in a battle.

Nyssa, who already sacrificed and spent several years leading the League, felt devastated and thus destroyed the Lazarus Pit.

Malcolm Merlyn, who is already taking the lead on the League of the Assassins, eventually put Nyssa out of the lure.

There are also speculations saying that the returning Laurel Lance is from Earth-2 known as the Black Siren, the evil alter-ego of the Black Canary.

Since the latest trailer has been leaked already, it is quite clear that Laurel Lance’s return is not a happy one for Team Arrow.

As shown in the promo, Oliver has no idea how Laurel Lance came back to life but tossed a welcome party for her just the same.

But it was already too late for Team Arrow to realize that it was not the Laurel Lance they knew. It was the Earth 2-Black Siren who is an escapee from The Flash’s underground prison at STAR Labs.

Apparently, the Laurel Lance they know in Arrowverse is actually dead and the Lazarus Pit has nothing to do with the resurrected Laurel Lance.

The original Laurel Lance used a powerful device to produce her patented “Canary Cry” while her evil doppelganger is a meta-human who possesses the power and does not use such device.

As viewers of “The Flash” will remember back in Season 2, the Black Canary of the Arrowverse and like most of the DC characters, have actually evil doppelgangers in Earth-2.

The Flash, who is Barry Allen, messed up with the timeline that opened up new portals from 52 different Earths or universes that cross paths with the Earth that everybody knows.

In the case of Earth-2 Laurel Lance a.k.a. the Black Siren, she was a servant of last year’s “The Flash” Season 2 greedy speedster villain, Zoom.

With Zoom’s defeat at the hands of Team Flash, the Black Siren was left and put in prison at STAR Labs.
