‘Arrow’ Season 4 to Highlight Transformation of Oliver Queen as Green Arrow

“Arrow” Season 3 ended with Oliver Queen riding off into the sunset and new information suggests he will come back as Green Arrow in Season 4. The series will also have new characters Mr. Terrific and Anarky joining the cast.

Mr. Terrific is a DC comics character first introduced in the “Sensation” comics No.1 released in 1942. The character represented the alter ego of Terry Sloane, a millionaire who possessed remarkable athletic abilities. In the comics, the character was portrayed as a highly intelligent person, with an extraordinary intellect, and photographic memory.

The second version, as noted by Deadline, introduced the character as Michael Holt, who possessed the same physical and intellectual abilities as its predecessor. Both of the characters, in addition to their remarkable intellect, owned a high level of martial arts skill. However, the second version has a costume that employs built-in sophisticated technology.

According to Deadline, “Arrow” Season 4  will present a third version of the character under the name of Curtis Holt. The character will incorporate some slightly different features, as it will be introduced as a Palmer Technologies tech whiz. The character of Mr. Terrific will be played by Echo Kellum.

The character of Anarky, on the other hand, showed up in 1989 as Batman’s enemy. However, Anarky’s personality has shifted in core throughout the following years. Writers have shifted Anarky’s positions and interests according to their own desires. However, it mainly remained in the role of an anti-statist, while the TV series “Arrow” will use the character as a criminal for hire. It has already been reported that Anarky will be played on by actor Alexander Calvert.

Stephen Amell, who plays the series’ protagonist, has revealed his new costume at Warner Bros TV on July 18. Warner Bros’ “Night of DC Entertainment” hosted Amell as he introduced a brand new green outfit for his character. The costume was designed by Maya Mani and it shows how the character will evolve to become the Green Arrow.

According to Christian Today “Arrow” Season 4 will have the first episode titled” Green Arrow” and it will be in production until July 23. It will announce the return of Oliver Queen under a new alter ego, and with a brand new costume.

The new costume now incorporates more armor and is in line with the design of Green Arrow in today’s DC comic books. Upon completing Season 3, Amell stated that the old suit would be replaced with a new suit in a lighter tone.

The shift of aliases is not the first that has been introduced in the show since “Arrow” was known in Seasons 1 and 2 as the Hood. Through the course of time, Oliver’s alias was eventually renamed into Arrow.

Additional information suggests that the actor Neal McDonough will become the villain named Damien Darhk in Season 4. The ending of Season 3 had hinted that the new “Arrow” team will have to fight Damien Darhk in the upcoming episodes of Season 4.

“Arrow” was developed by Marc Guggenheim, Greg Berlanti, and Andrew Kreisberg. The main character of the show is based on the DC Comics’ Green Arrow, which was developed by Mort Weisinger and George Papp.

Arrow Season 4

The show premiered on The CW in October 2010 and has had Amell as the series’ protagonist ever since. The name Arrow represents an alias for Oliver Queen, a billionaire who fights crime with the use of a bow and arrow.  The series mostly focuses on his way of coping with the time he had spent on a deserted island, with the character’s frequent flashbacks to that period.
