‘Arrow’ Season 4 Second Half to Give Answer to Who Dies that is Close to Oliver Queen!

Episode 10 of Season 4 of the American superhero drama TV series “Arrow” will return to The CW on January 20 after its winter hiatus and it shall mark the show’s midseason premiere.

While the fall finale of “Arrow” showed Felicity Smoak, played by Emily Bett Rickards, on the throes of death, following the slay-ambush made by the Ghosts on Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell, and Felicity, many fans of the TV series believe that the computer hacker/expert would survive the slay attempt.

Of course, the hit on Oliver and Felicity was ordered by Damien Darhk, played by Neal McDonough, Season 4’s big bad.

Episode 9 showed Felicity being hit by a bullet while the limousine where she and Oliver were onboard were peppered with bullets. The driver was the first to take the fall before Oliver decided to take command of the vehicle and steer themselves away from the Ghosts who were firing from all angles.

It was when Oliver left Felicity at the backseat of the limousine that she got hit by one of the bullets.

The heart-wrenching part of the scene was that the slay attempt on Oliver and Felicity came just minutes after Oliver proposed to marry Felicity in full public view of Star City as he reaffirmed his intention to run for Mayor of the embattled city.

Not what fans wanted to know

Having been familiar with the storyline of “Arrow” for nearly four years already, many fans of the popular TV show are confident that Felicity shall be able to recover from the assault of Darhk’s men and survive.

In fact, the incident will further fuel Oliver’s and the Green Arrow’s drive to defeat Damien Darhk and his organization known as the HIVE out in the open because he has already announced that Darhk is the city’s biggest enemy.

However, Season 4’s biggest cliffhanger has yet to be answered as of the fall finale. It can be recalled that towards the end of the first episode of Season 4, Oliver was seen kneeling before a tombstone while Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, the alter-ego of The Flash, stands on the background. There was a tear welling on the eyes of Oliver.

The question is who was it that died that is close to Oliver. The speculations are aplenty on the internet on who the character would be. The sad part of that death is that whoever dies in Season 4 will stay dead as confirmed by executive producer Marc Guggenheim in a recent interview.

This means that Oliver would not even tinker with the idea of bringing back his loved one from the dead via the Lazarus Pit in Nanda Parbat, the way they did with Thea Queen, played by Willa Holland in Season 3, and Sara Lance, played by Caity Lotz, in the current fourth season.

John Diggle may be it

According to Design & Trend, the character who would most likely die in Season 4 of “Arrow” is John Diggle, played by David Ramsay.

Despite their occasional differences in opinion most of the time, John is very close to Oliver that is why he shed a tear in his friend’s rumored death.

But there are also speculations that it could be Captain Quentin Lance of the Star City Police Department. However, if it was Captain Lance, Laurel Lance and Sara Lance should have been with Oliver in the tombstone.

Rumors also suggest that it could be Malcolm Merlyn but he is Ra’s Al Gul and very difficult to be killed. Besides, he is one of the most interesting characters in the TV series and the show practically can’t do without him.

Arrow Season 4

However, because of the presence of Barry in that tombstone scene, and no other member from Team Arrow, it is possible that the character that Oliver is crying for is his son that only he and Barry knows, including the mother of the child.

It could be recalled that during episode 8 of “Arrow,” Barry discovered Oliver’s secret child, which Oliver only knew then. So when Oliver decided to confront the mother, they both agreed to keep it a secret to protect the child and also to protect Felicity.
