Many are saying that the breakup of Oliver and Felicity will not last long especially when fans and the ratings of the TV series start speaking.
However, all indications seem to point to the fact that the breakup would not last long because Felicity Smoak is not going anywhere. Emily Bett Rickards is committed to the show for all of Season 4 and Season 5 beginning late this year so it actually does not change the TV series. If any, it just added a little flavor to the relationship of ‘Olicity’ which fans and critics are betting would be rekindled again soon, if not sooner.
With Felicity already out of Team Arrow as Overwatch, it seems likely that Curtis will take her spot for the group. He will likely deliver the expository dialogue that he needs to say and also share some witty banter and puns with the other members of Team Arrow. It is also one way for “Arrow” to shed some light and perhaps feature a backstory of Curtis.
For her part, Felicity would also be very useful as the CEO of Palmer Tech and for all fans know, she might be able to come up with something great again that would help the crime-fighting ways of Team Arrow and her ex-fiance Oliver Queen.
