There has been a lot of talk about his victory, as the match was highly anticipated in the first place, and among those congratulating the fighter for his success was none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger. The Terminator posted a message on Twitter, congratulating the MMA fighter for “terminating” another opponent, and stating that he’s excited to see him in his world championship fight.
Arnold Schwarzenegger went on to say that he’ll actually be attending the fight, so if Conor McGregor is looking for any more motivation to give his best when he’s out on the ring, that should probably do the trick. For the last fight, Arnold admitted that he was only able to catch it on TV, but he promised that he would attend the match against Jose Aldo when it rolls around. The fight is already shaping up to be quite high-profile, but the presence of a celebrity of this rank would certainly help even more.
Meanwhile, a little more information has recently come out regarding the upcoming fight against Jose Aldo. While many fans were hopeful that the fight could be scheduled for an Irish ring, pointing towards Croke Park and the Aviva Stadium as possible places for the fight, UFC president Dana White has recently stated that this isn’t going to actually happen, and the fight will not take place in Ireland. Where are they going to fight? It’s not clear at this point, although the UFC is likely looking to make the fight as neutral as possible, which could explain their attitude.
McGregor is already very confident about his fight against Aldo, proclaiming boldly that he expects his opponent to last about four minutes before he goes down. Of course, given the fact that Aldo is the current champion, that’s a bold claim to make indeed – but of course, when one is going up against someone of that rank, boldness is the only attitude that can cut it.
Either way, McGregor currently has a lot of support from his fans and various celebrities, and many experts have been commenting that he has a strong potential to come out victorious in the fight, but of course he’ll have to give it his best. It will be a serious competition, that’s for sure, and it may or may not redefine the fighting scene for a long time afterwards if the title changes hands. Soon enough, the world will see who the new champion will be, and we might just see even more expressions of satisfaction from Arnold Schwarzenegger and other high-ranking celebrities.
