It could also be that the cause of the split is the raunchy performance of Ariana Grande early this month at Inglewood, California that saw her getting cozy with Justin Bieber on stage, prompting Big Sean to post on Twitter a cold warning to the 22-year-old Justin Bieber.
Big Sean subsequently claimed that it was not him who tweeted the message but someone else who has access to his Twitter. He clarified that he has no ill feeling against Justin because he has known him as a friend and he would not dare cross him as far as Ariana is concerned.
There was no subsequent response from either Ariana or Justin on the issue.
There were also reports that the former couple also clashed over money and touring schedules which had them spending more time apart.
Late last year, there have been rumors that Ariana caught Big Sean texting a woman and she felt offended that her former boyfriend can cheat on her just like that.
Eventually she forgave him and the relationship was back to where it was during the time when they started dating, mostly full of PDAs on their social media posts. Apparently, it has never been the same again and the lyrics of Big Sean’s rap track were the last straw for Ariana and the relationship was over after that.
