Ariana Grande gave composer Jason Robert Brown a fitting payback for composing some of her music when she made her Broadway debut almost 10 years ago.
She recently made a surprise appearance in the concert of the composer at Hollywood’s Catalina Bar and Grill and had audience extremely surprised and delighted, reports Vulture.
Ariana came out on stage wearing oversized glasses and an oversized sweater, like someone who just woke up from a cozy sweater-nap.
In fact, the site even said that the “Focus” singer looked like some who was either holding a tiny kitten or just finished reading her favorite novel or probably both.
While she did not elaborate on her appearance, but those who are in the know, believes that Ariana’s guesting on Brown’s concert is a gesture of gratitude to the composer.
She actually sang three songs during the show, two of which were from the musical that marked her Broadway debut when she was just 13 years old and were composed by Jason Robert Brown.
The face of Viva Glam campaign
Ariana Grande is currently the official face of MAC’s Viva Glam campaign, something which the “Bang Bang” singer is excited to be a part of.
She said that she fell in love with the MAC cosmetic brand even at a young age. She explained that all the profits that shall be generated from the sale of lipsticks and glosses in the campaign will be channelled to people affected by HIV and AIDS and Ariana thinks that it is a big thing, notes Popsugar.
Ariana said that unlike other brands where only a percentage of the profits go to a socio-civic cause, all of the proceeds of the Viva Glam campaign go to the worthwhile cause.
The “Problem” singer also talked about her recent rant on Twitter where she tackled double standards that celebrity women are being subjected to.
It seems that the 22-year-old songstress has matured enough given her peerless views on feminism and women’s equality which would actually make her a shoo-in for the 2020 US presidential elections.
Christmas gift to fans
Ariana Grande has maintained her personal tradition over the last three years by gifting her fans anew a Christmas album for 2015 featuring six tracks, including five songs and an intro.
It is the third year in a row when Ariana Grande has dropped a Christmas album for her fans. She unveiled her “Christmas Kisses” album in 2013, followed by “Santa Tell Me” in 2014.
However, unlike her previous two Christmas albums, the songs on her 2015 album titled “Christmas and Chill” are all original.
The six tracks in Ariana Grande’s latest album include “Intro,” “Wit It This Christmas,” “December,” “Not Just on Christmas,” “True Love,” and “Winter Things.”
It was actually the “Focus” singer who officially teased her Christmas album before December 25 through a series of posts on Twitter hinting that it is the season for some love giving. She also added in one of her tweets that fans should consider giving love to her.
“Christmas and Chill” was a welcome surprise to Ariana Grande’s fans although most of them were not too surprised with Ari’s Holiday present for them in 2015.
While the songs in the album stay nice and jolly with the use of jingle bells and ukuleles, Ariana gets a little naughty on top of trap beats in “Wit It This Christmas,” as she croons ‘Are you down for some of these milk and cookies?’
“Christmas and Chill” came out before Ariana Grande’s third studio album “Moonlight” which is reported to come out early this year. According to critics, Ari’s “Christmas and Chill” album will quench fan thirst while waiting for her studio album where “Focus” was taken from.
