Her brother Frankie, whose claim to fame is his past stint with “Big Brother US” reality TV series, escorted Ari to the event and also blew kisses to the crowd.
Ariana’s German trip is the third country in Europe she has visited in three days. Her first stop was London on November 4, where she promoted her new single “Focus” and also launched her new perfume.
The following day, she was in Madrid, Spain, where she attended the glamorous launch of her new handbag collaboration with Coach.
Critics believe that since her debut single “Put Your Hearts Up” in 2011, Ariana Grande has never released a less-than-great single until the emergence of “Focus.”
“Focus” is merely a rehash of her 2014 hit track “Problem” and follows the same formula as the latter but with little of the same rush.
One fan actually said that “Focus” is really an underwhelming song that borrows a lot of elements from “Problem.” The horns, the pre-chorus, and the male vocals interchanged with Ariana’s vocals.
Even the music video of “Focus” features similar visuals as “Problem.” The fan also added that artists who purposely form a song after a previous hit’s formula normally don’t do well, citing as a clear example Lady Gaga’s “Judas” which borrowed from monotone verses from “Poker Face” and the chorus structure from “Bad Romance.”
