Ariana Grande is most likely pulling all stops to promote her upcoming third album titled “Dangerous Woman” so she has been a busybody as of late on TV and in various gigs as well.
On March 12, the “Problem” singer hosted “Saturday Night Live” where she actually did a double duty the way Miley Cyrus once did not too long ago.
Ariana not only served as host, she also delivered a musical performance during the Season 41 opener of the popular comedy TV show. She did not only nail it both as a host and performer, Ari had a blast doing it.
Typical with the show, “Saturday Night Live” recently shared one of the cut-for-time sketches showing Grande as a basketball enthusiast psyched for March Madness who invites two clueless co-workers over to her house. The two ‘innocent’ visitors are Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennett, details Billboard.
Had fun with the hilarious skits
The “Focus” singer last appeared on NBC’s long-running sketch comedy show during Season 40 where she served as the opening musical act alongside then-host and now a bankable Marvel actor, Chris Pratt.
Her March 12 appearance on “Saturday Night Live” was actually her first time to serve as host of the show and Ariana admitted that she really had fun with the show’s hilarious skits.
In particular, one of the skits include a standout sketch about the Kid’s Choice Awards where Ariana happened to win an actual Kid’s Choice Award for Favorite Female Singer that very same night, notes Popcrush.
Ariana even posted on Twitter two days later her joy by saying that it was just a funny timing. She recalled that she was doing a KCA skit at “Saturday Night Live” when she won an actual award on KCA. She extended her gratefulness to her babes, which is likely her boyfriend Ricky Alvarez, and also to Nickelodeon TV.
A perfect primer
The “Bang Bang” singer’s double duty on the “Saturday Night Live” episode was considered by fans and critics as a perfect primer for the release of her forthcoming third album which now has a release date of May 20.
Ariana actually expanded her repertoire of dazzling celebrity vocal impressions, which she first delivered during the “Tonight Show” last year, in an amazing skit about Tidal dropping the ball again.
She also debuted on the show her live performances of “Dangerous Woman” and the previously unheard “Be Alright” which is a 90s house-influenced performance complete with on-point backup from her dancers and herself.
On February 22, the “Focus” singer alluded on Instagram and Twitter that her long-awaited third studio album will now be officially titled “Dangerous Woman.”
On the same week, Ari updated her Twitter and Instagram bios with the title of her upcoming third studio album. She added more clues on her Snapchat, where her name is still ‘moonlightbae.’
“Dangerous Woman” will still have “Focus” as its carrier single, having been released in October last year.
Ariana also promised to release the track “Be Alright” 10 days or less since then but nearly 45 days have passed as of the third week of February, it still has to hit the airwaves. It was finally released during her hosting of “Saturday Night Live.”
In her Snapchat, Ariana shared a few photos showing herself donning a shirt with the words ‘Dangerous Woman’ printed across it. She followed the post with a snap of what appeared to be a track list written on a white board with “Dangerous Woman” in all caps at the top.
The first song on top of the track list was listed as “Moonlight.”
While her social media hints are not official confirmation of the title of her third studio album, it seems safe to say that the “Problem” singer has already decided upon “Dangerous Woman” as the title of her next album in lieu of the earlier “Moonlight.”
But the change should no longer come as a surprise to her fans since she already talked about the possibility during her guesting at “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in January.
