Ariana Grande rendered a heartbreaking song with style during the 57th Annual Grammy Awards that she herself couldn’t believe it.
It was such an angelic performance for Ariana, according to MTV, that when she reached and overcome the high notes towards the end of the song, she clasped her hands and covered her mouth as if in disbelief that she managed to belt the song with ease.
Ariana delivered the song “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart,” in the Grammy stage that was covered with smoke. She wore a long black dress for her performance, which was a quick change from her red carpet outfit featuring an all-white Versace gown. She also came with boyfriend Big Sean at the event.
At the stage, the “Love Me Harder” singer stood alone at the microphone while being surrounded by string instruments and a see-through grand piano. Then she started belting the heartbreaking lyrics with all the emotions she can draw from within her.
Subsequently, ambient blues and purples swelled around her and after she conquered the high notes, that’s when she clasped her hands on her mouth, surprised at herself for being able to deliver such a heavenly performance right at the music industry’s biggest stage.
Grammy nomination
“Just a Little Bit of Your Heart” is part of Ariana Grande’s album titled “My Everything” which was also nominated in the Grammys for Best Pop Vocal Album.
The petite diva was also nominated with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj for their widely popular song “Bang Bang.”
Reports have it that Ariana Grande has just finished filming the music video of her song “One Last Time,” which is also part of “My Everything.” She’ll be releasing the lyric video for the song on February 13.
Ariana shall also be very busy before the end of the month as she will be doing her Honeymoon Tour beginning on February 25 in Missouri.
Comparing her to Mariah
While some music fans who were able to watch her performance at the Grammys consider Ariana Grande as the next Mariah Carey, some fans however refuse the comparison, citing that Ari is way better than Mariah, even during the latter’s prime.
When a detractor said that the petite diva’s voice was weak, one ardent fan immediately came to her rescue by saying that Ariana Grande’s voice was nowhere near being weak. The fan believes that Ari has amazing vocals and should not be compared at all to Mariah.
While Ari can also do the whistle tones just like Mariah, she has a totally different style and has a very unique voice, the fan said.
One fan was even blatant enough to say straight up that Ari’s detractors can say what they want about the petite diva but Mariah screwed her voice up and Ariana is the next best thing there is in the music industry.
