Pop icon Madonna and pop princess Ariana Grande recently took the stage during the Raising Malawi benefit concert held at the Miami Beach on December 2.
The concert was meant to generate funds to support Malawi’s first pediatric surgery and intensive care unit and is part of Madonna’s fundraising project. She was able to contribute in bringing in about $7.5 million for Malawi.
The “Material Girl” singer also auctioned off several of her personal items for the cause, including photos from her wedding to actor Sean Penn and a former concert tour costume, details Hello Giggles.
During the joint performance of Madonna and Ariana Grande on the stage at the benefit concert, the dynamic duo turned it a little too wild and racy. While both Madonna and Ariana Grande are no strangers to doing provocative dances, they turned the heat a little too steamy during the performance.
The pair has let it all loose during their performance of Madonna’s track “Music.” Ari was seen wearing Madonna’s Rebel Heart tour costumes while the “True Blue” singer wore a short skirt of her own.
The two got very intimate and close during their performance, that at one point, Madonna even took off Ari’s blazer. And at another point, both performers also twerked together, much to the surprise delight of the crowd.
It was a sizzling performance for the 58-year-old Madonna and the 23-year-old Ariana Grande. The duo cheered the audience and was not at all afraid of showing off their booty shaking skills at the Miami Beach’s Faena Forum, reports Game & Guide.
Critics believe that it was a bit wild and extremely indulgent of Madonna and Ariana Grande, but full of thrill.
Teasing the event on social media
Madonna earlier teased the benefit concert on social media for weeks and it turned out to be really amazing.
For her part, Ariana Grande even shared the clip on Instagram, treating the fans with a beautiful and sweet moment between her and Madonna.
Ari captioned her image post by saying that tonight, she says yes to Madonna for her Raising Malawi benefit concert. She said that she lives for and adore the “Crazy For You” singer and that her heart is what Ari is most inspired by.
She also thanked Madonna for giving her the opportunity to be a part of such an important evening and giving as much as the pop icon does.
Excited for ‘Hairspray Live’
A few days from the official debut of NBC’s “Hairspray Live” on December 7, pop superstar Ariana Grande and the rest of the cast members of the musical special are already very excited about their upcoming gig.
Last month, Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson teased their planned duet on “Hairspray Live” with the perfect picture posted on Instagram.
The “Dangerous Woman” singer shall be playing Penny Pingleton in “Hairspray Live” while Hudson will take on the role of Motormouth Maybelle. The two stars will do the duet “Come So Far (Got So Far to Go).”
Motormouth Maybelle was played by Queen Latifah in the 2007 film of “Hairspray Live.”
Hudson also provided a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes vocal work she is doing with her vocal coach Michael Orland, who is also a vocal coach of the singing reality competition show “American Idol.”
For her part, Ariana Grande also got weird with another cast member Kristin Chenoweth and also had fun with newcomer Maddie Baillio, which she shared on her Instagram account.
Ariana Grande stunned everybody who attended the press junket for the upcoming NBC musical “Hairspray Live” when she came wearing insanely wide-legged denim overalls.
It was a throwback outfit for the ages that one of those who has seen the “Focus” singer said that Ariana looked like the lost member of TLC as she had exposed seams that were distressed, frayed, and in some locations, literally sporting foot-long undone threads.
