Less than three weeks from the official debut of NBC’s “Hairspray Live!” on December 7, pop superstar Ariana Grande and the rest of the cast members of the musical special are already very excited about their upcoming gig.

On November 16, Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson teased their planned duet on “Hairspray Live!” with the perfect picture posted on Instagram.

The “Dangerous Woman” singer shall be playing Penny Pingleton in “Hairspray Live!” while Hudson will take on the role of Motormouth Maybelle. The two stars will do the duet “Come So Far (Got So Far to Go),” reports Billboard.

Motormouth Maybelle was played by Queen Latifah in the 2007 film of “Hairspray Live!”

Hudson also provided a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes vocal work she is doing with her vocal coach Michael Orland, who was also a vocal coach of the erstwhile singing reality competition show “American Idol.”

For her part, Ariana Grande also got weird with another cast member Kristin Chenoweth and also had fun with newcomer Maddie Baillio, which she shared on her Instagram account.

A throwback outfit

Ariana Grande stunned everybody who attended the press junket for the upcoming NBC musical “Hairspray Live!” on November 17 when she came wearing insanely wide-legged denim overalls, details Cosmopolitan.

It was a throwback outfit for the ages that one of those who has seen the “Focus” singer said that Ariana looked like the lost member of TLC as she had exposed seams that were distressed, frayed, and in some locations, literally sporting foot-long undone threads.

The loose-fitting pants were wide enough to look like a maxi skirt, but Ariana did some moves on the carpet that proved there were, in fact, two legs to the garment.

She paired the flashback ensemble with a cotton bralette, a choker, diamond stud earrings, and sky-high heels.

While posing for pictures, Ariana goofed around with her cast members, including Kristen Chenoweth, whom she called the love of her life on Instagram that same evening.

A priceless opportunity

When it rains, it really pours. That seems to be the trend of the career of music artist Ariana Grande.

After releasing her third studio album, “Dangerous Woman,” the music videos of each released track of which got 100 million views, a few months ago, the 23-year-old songstress got the precious and priceless opportunity to collaborate and share a new song together with music legend Stevie Wonder.

“Sing” will hit theaters on December 21. “Faith,” on the other hand, is a track produced by OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and Benny Blanco.
