The delay in the DLC’s release has actually been problematic for the game’s population, as some players have given up on waiting and have abandoned the title. The current state of “GTA 5” and its online play is not ideal, and even though it’s still possible to find other people to play with, the game’s popularity has definitely suffered noticeably from the delay in launching “Heists”.
However, rumors indicate that players might soon have an incentive to get back into the game, as Rockstar are apparently preparing to launch the long-awaited DLC, and are looking at February 24 as their intended release date. These rumors started circulating after the PlayStation store put up a listing for the DLC for this date, and even though the entry was shortly removed from the database, it was up long enough for many fans to see it and report it to news outlets. Rockstar haven’t given any indication that the content is being delayed so far, and they have actually been quite steady in its advertisement, having just recently released a new trailer and a bunch of screenshots for the DLC, along with the statement that the content is coming out some time in “early 2015”.
