Are Bethesda more Focused on Elder Scrolls 6 or Fallout 4, and Which Is Coming First? What Do Gamers Want out of the Franchise’s Future

While both “Fallout 4” and “Elder Scrolls 6” are still rumors and haven’t been confirmed officially by Bethesda, many fans treat both games as if they’re practically confirmed, as the number of rumors related to them is a clear indication that something is going on behind the scenes. However, when all information is coming in the form of rumors, it can be a bit difficult to figure out what to believe. And now, the main question that people have been asking ever since the release of the last set of alleged leak information, is which game is coming first.

Lately, there has been good reason to believe that Bethesda are currently focusing on their fantasy franchise and have put the post-apocalyptic world of “Fallout” on hold for a while. The most recent information in that direction came from an alleged leaked script from Bethesda’s offices, talking about a war in Skyrim. This wasn’t a plot element in “Skyrim” itself, so it could mean that the new “Elder Scrolls” will feature that as part of its storyline.

This could also match the information given in another recent leak, according to which the new “Elder Scrolls” will allow players to travel all over the world of the game, including visiting old places from previous games like “Morrowind” and “Skyrim”.

As for “Fallout 4” itself, while the game might not have been announced in any official form yet, gamers and even some journalists have been finding it hard to resist speculating about what it will bring to the table. There’s certainly a lot that can happen to the franchise, and some changes have been needed for a long time now.

The biggest request gamers seem to have towards Bethesda is, perhaps paradoxically, that they take their time. The company’s standard way of releasing games is to put out an initial version that’s not entirely polished and may even contain game-breaking bugs, and then fix it in a series of patches over the next few weeks. While gamers were patient enough to stand through that several times already, especially in the “Elder Scrolls” series, the situation has been changing lately, and such a release for “Fallout 4” might prove disastrous.

Fallout 4

Of course, if Bethesda want to avoid that, they’ll likely need a serious revision of the way they’re organizing their work internally, but the studio has proven that they’re willing to adapt to a changing market situation in recent times, so whenever “Fallout 4” gets announced and released, it will likely not be done in the same way that previous installments in the franchise were.
