The highly-anticipated Apple smart wearable – the Apple Watch – will be officially debuting in the retail market in April.
Apple has yet to announce the specific date in April when it will be officially releasing the Apple Watch but the company has already booked 12 pages in the March issue of the fashion magazine Vogue where it will be showcasing features of the wearable, cites MSN News from an International Business Times report.
It appears that part of the booked pages includes the magazine’s centrespread. The advertisement is also in parallel to the magazine’s thrust of bidding to become the most technologically-inclined magazine in the US and around the world too.
The Apple Watch also made its printed debut on the cover of Vogue China last year. Back in 2013, Google also took 12 pages of advertisements from the magazine to feature Google Glass including the centrespread.
A high-end wearable
Apple is positioning its wearable in the high-end market and the product price is the main indicator of such. The iWatch, as many Apple users have started calling it, will be joining the company of top luxury and fashion brands.
The lowest-priced Apple Watch will reportedly be priced at almost double that of its existing competitors in the market today.
Based on the preview of some of its advertisements in the upcoming March issue of Vogue magazine, the Apple Watch will actually come in two different sizes and three different versions.
The three versions include a stainless steel standard model, a rubber-banded aluminum sport model, and an 18-karat gold edition version, making all previous speculations true.
In the past, these have become the subject of speculations where one report insists that the iWatch would be made of stainless steel and the other would insist that it would be made of aluminum as reports attempt to cross each other out. It turns out that both reports were true.
All the three versions of the Apple Watch will be published in the March issue of Vogue on top of a white backdrop because the publication normally prints fashion brands around the time of the year as a preview of its spring collections.
Life-size images
The Apple Watch advertisements on the March issue of Vogue magazine will also be life-size images to give readers the idea how it really looks in actual.
The feature will also showcase several options for the iWatch in terms of bands, finish and style. A preview of the Apple Watch has already been released on Vogue’s digital edition featuring an interactive video advertisement of the rotating 18-karat rose gold Apple Watch edition. The advertisement also comes with a tech blog for commentaries.
The iWatch has already appeared in the February issue of Self magazine from the Conde Nast publication group through an advertisement featuring the sports edition of the Watch as worn by South African model Candice Swanepoel.
