Apple Watch OS 2.0.1 Improves Battery Life and Security Measures; Offers Bug Fixes and New Emojis!

The Apple Watch microphone is also accessible to other apps now, which means developers will also be able to use voice in creating new apps. Developers also now have access to the accelerometer too, so users can expect future apps to utilize such feature.

The software has also improved the watch display settings. From previously capping after 15 seconds, the Apple Watch is now able to stay on for 70 seconds.

When the Apple Watch came out in March, there were only 10 customizable Apple Watch face, but now the number is more than twice the original count.

There is also the Nightstand mode which flips the Apple Watch face to show horizontally while it is charging. The Digital Crown also becomes a snooze button and the side button turns off alarms.

Another feature that has been sorely missing that finally made it onto the Apple Watch after the release of the Apple Watch OS 2 is the capability to reply to e-mails.

Just like text messages, Apple Watch users can now reply to e-mails directly from their wrist with voice dictation, emojis, and smart responses.

The only drawback to such feature is that the user cannot edit his e-mail messages because the feature is more about being able to archive or flag messages from the wrist, rather than being locked into one’s smartphone.
