Apple Watch 2 to Join New Macbooks and 4 Software Platforms in WWDC 2016 Launching on June 13!

Apple has just confirmed that it shall be holding the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016 on June 13 at the Moscone Center in downtown San Francisco as well as at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium about a mile away.

Reports have it that the American tech giant will be making the WWDC 2016 event really significant as it will be launching several new devices as well as new software platforms.

Contrary to speculations that Apple Watch 2 will be joining the upcoming iPhones for its launching in September, the freshest reports seem to suggest that the American tech giant will be launching the latest iteration to its smart wearable in June along with the new MacBooks, and four new software platforms.

However, Apple has not confirmed any of its product offerings for the June event so even the latest reports remain as speculation at this time.

But since the event is meant for software developers, what seems confirmed are the four software platforms that Apple is planning to launch during the event including the iOS 10 most likely as well as the latest updates to the OS X, the Watch OS, and the tv OS, reports the International Business Times.

The time for Apple Watch 2 has come

With the possible unveiling of the latest version of Watch OS and the OS X at the WWDC 2016, critics are speculating that the Apple Watch 2 and the latest MacBooks could be part of the product offerings that will be launched by the American tech giant in the event.

Practically every consumer was anticipating that the Apple Watch 2 will be launched by the Cupertino-based tech company during its “Let Us Loop You In” event on March 21 but only the latest straps or bands for the Apple Watch was introduced. The Apple Watch completed its one-year market cycle last March so the assumption that its predecessor is due that time has a good leg to stand on.

It would be very awkward for Apple to launch a new Watch OS version if it will just be using the Apple Watch so the possibility of the Apple Watch 2 finally making a debut in the event looms very large.

The 2016 MacBook Air was previously rumored to make its debut also during the March event but it did not happen so all eyes are now on the June 13 event. Because Apple will be unveiling its latest Mac OS desktop software, critics believe that it will also be launching its latest MacBooks which is possibly the 2016 MacBook Air and the 2016 MacBook Pro.

However, there have been rumors as of late that Apple has decided to do away with its MacBook Air line so only the 2016 MacBook Pro and its different variants will make it to the event come June.

How the Apple Watch 2 would look like

According to Apple analyst Brian White of Wall Street firm Drexel Hamilton, the Apple Watch 2 would be between 20% to 40% thinner than its predecessor.

White explained that the Apple Watch refresh will not occur in September with the iPhone 7 but is most likely to occur during the WWDC 2016 because having the latest Watch OS update and the Apple Watch 2 in the same event makes more sense, notes the Macworld of UK.

Based on previous reports, the Apple Watch 2 shall feature an ARM Cortex A32 processor which would significantly improve user experience on the smart wearable.

Reports have it that Apple Watch 2 shall feature major innovations and upgrades vis-à-vis the Apple Watch and these include Siri, apps and fitness tracking upgrade, more sensors, and better waterproof guarantees.

There are reports going around that the price of Apple Watch has started dropping in March which gives credence to the possibility that the Apple Watch 2 is just around the corner.
