Let’s not forget where it all started – it was designers themselves who made up the majority of Apple’s users, along with other creatively-minded professionals. Apple used to put a lot of effort into adding various bells and whistles to their machines that made them a premium choice for doing this kind of work.
Nowadays, a Windows/Linux workstation is often just as good, and some aesthetics lovers have started to move away from Apple, recognizing the value in some offerings by their competitors.
But the company still has a very real chance of regaining their position on the market and being once again known as the leader when it comes to visuals and build quality. It won’t even take too much effort, as they already have most details in place, they just need to revise some key points of their designs.
The rumors about the MacBook Pro 2016 actually seem to imply that Apple have thrown out a large part of the device’s original design though, so that would be even more interesting to see if it’s true. There is a lot that the company could do to make the device more interesting and functional, and fan-made concepts have shown us various creative additions, such as additional small screens showing specific data, touchscreen media controls, and more. Hopefully the new laptop coming out by Apple this year won’t be just another entry in their line-up.
