Apple iPod Touch 6th Generation Release Date Revealed Online!

Just like with every year since Apple became a company, it has been busy getting new versions of products ready for release each year. The iPhone hit the mobile phone market back in 2007 and the “smartphone” was born. Since then, Apple has been releasing at least one upgraded model each year. The same goes for the iPod Touch, which is about to see the sixth generation released in 2015. Most of the consumers out there are concerned when the iPhone 6S is going to arrive, but Apple does not want them to forget about the iPod Touch.

Many sources online claim that Apple should have delivered on the iPod Touch by now, but that is not the case. That does not mean that it will not be ready by the 1st of the new year, but for now, you cannot get it. The sales numbers for the iPhone 6 are exploding with each weekend that goes by, so the sixth generation iPod Touch has a lot to go up against. According to one rumor, the reason that the iPod Touch has not been released yet is because it uses similar parts the iPhone 6 does.

Because the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are in such high demand, the parts are not available for the iPod Touch. That seems like a decent explanation, which does not come from a mobile company very often. With the busy, holiday shopping season over, Apple might have a hard time getting consumers to make another high end purchase. As the iPhone 6 sales start to level out, the components for the iPod Touch should be more readily available and production should go on as normal.

Many consumers were hoping to spend holiday money on the new device, but according to one source, Apple is not even close to making an announcement for the device. This is confusing would be buyers that are wondering why it would not be released at this time. Some of the experts in the mobile gadget industry are expecting Apple to get the new device released in the next couple of months. The A8 chip is the main component that is needed by the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and the iPod Touch device.

Another possible reason for the delays in production could include that the USPS have started to use the iPod Touch as a handheld scanning device. If the USPS rumor is true, then they made purchases of the older model since you cannot get the sixth generation at this time.

  1. Just release the damn thing already. Yes, I have a smart phone but I don’t use it for much more than calls, texts, and Google searches. Any apps or extended use kills the battery way too fast. I NEED as much battery as possible for my calls and texts. I have no music, don’t read books, don’t play games, don’t do email and have no downloaded apps on my phone otherwise I have to charge it twice a day minimum compared to once. That’s just what happens with smartphones. The batteries are terrible. Having apps and music on the iPod touch doesn’t kill the battery that way. I use it for everything except calls and texts. I have a tablet sure, but who wants to carry around a big thing like that all the time. The iPods is the perfect size, battery lasts a long time and does everything I need. Problem is my iPod fifth generation is shot. I’ve been having to use my phone and charge it two to three times a day. I can’t handle it anymore and need the convenience of an iPod back. Seriously get on it!!!. I’ve been waiting for what seems like forever.

  2. I was going to keep my 4th generation iPod Touch but I dropped it a few months back. On December 19th, I decided I’m not going to wait any longer and I got a Product Red iPod Touch 5th generation. I haven’t had a single problem with it yet. It is working great for a device that is now over 2 years old with 3 year old internals. At the same time, I’m already saving up for the next generation iPod Touch because I do want an iPod Touch with an A7 and M7 chipset or A8 and M8 chipset, 1GB of RAM, bigger battery, upgraded camera, and Touch ID. The A5 chip won’t be able to handle iOS 9 and I want a device running the latest software. I hated how my 4th generation iPod Touch had old software and I don’t want to deal with that again. Lots of people are getting tired of waiting for the next iPod Touch and iPod sales WILL GO UP if a new iPod Touch is released! There IS A SIGNIFIGANT DEMAND FOR AN UPDATED IPOD TOUCH! The only reason iPod Touch is loosing sales is because people want a new one to be released!

  3. JUST RELEASE THE DAMN PIECE OF CRAP. btw that color change in the front is soooo ugly…
    hurry up and RELEASE IT
    baby words:
    let…it…GO!!!
