After the release of their latest range of iOS devices, it was expected that Apple would soon be launching the iPod Touch 6G. There were many rumors regarding a release date on October. However, October has come and gone and no news or further updates have been provided by Apple regarding the iPod.
Earlier, it was predicted that the launch of iPod Touch 6G would be taking place along with the other devices like iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3. No such events ever took place and music-lovers are holding their breath for the slightest indication of a launch from Apple. Two years ago, we saw the iPod Touch 5G gathering a lot of compliments due to the major changes applied in the iPod Touch line. These included a slightly larger display at 4-inch, various color options along with an uber-slim body.
These were its noteworthy features. Furthermore, like the iPhone, it came integrated with Siri support and the iSight camera that is featured on Apple’s iPhone line of devices. People went as far as to say that the 5th generation iPod Touch was simply the iPhone without the phone. Some critics reviewed the device intensely and declared that it produced better-quality audio effects as compared to the iPhone.
Numerous rumors are currently circulating around the iPod Touch 6G. People are making countless predictions regarding its specs, price and enhancements. It is being said that the device will come with Touch ID along with the latest Apple Operating System v8.0. Apple signature tool for safety, privacy and security will be integrated along with it.
The Cupertino Tech giant has revealed no details regarding what could be featured in this device. The people are expecting it to feature the latest iPhone’s specifications and hardware, except the calling facility of course! An article from Breathecast says that TIME magazine recently reported that their iPod Touch line of devices will face a huge decline in demand.
It is mainly due to the easy availability of iPhones along with other similar Android devices. After the iPod didn’t launch in October, Apple fanboys have been speculating that it will release in the first quarter of 2015. The delay has been blamed on the on-going tests, developments and bug-fixes on many different iOS devices.
Others believe that it suffered a lot of setbacks in its production process. Many others think that the delay is caused by Apple trying to bring in two different screen sizes for the upcoming iPod, just like that of the iPhone. Further rumors indicate that Apple could launch the iPod Touch 6G with the Apple Watch, the company’s initial foray into the wearable-device market.
Stay tuned for more updates on the iPod Touch 6G!
