Apple iPod Touch 6G: Does It Live Up to the Hype?

The other question that remains now is if Apple are going to continue the line in the future. Some are speculating that the iPod Touch 6G might not only be the last iPod Touch, but the last iPod in general, as Apple are finally going to put an end to the line for good.

We don’t know if that’s true or not, but opinions about dedicated music players have definitely been on a decline lately, and Apple would have surely noticed this trend developing. There was speculation that they were already headed down this road around the release of the iPod Touch 6G itself, too.

However, if the player scores some good sales and ends up establishing a solid spot for itself on the market, we see no reason for the company to cancel it. If they can keep up the line and bring out quality new releases, then they can only benefit from doing so.

On the other hand, they might also benefit from focusing fully on the iPhone/iPad lines and developing those to their maximum potential, as there is still some polishing left to do in those concepts. We don’t know what Apple are planning in those areas, but fans have been quite curious to see what the next iPhone will look like.
