It’s also been rumored that iOS 9 is coming soon, but we don’t know any exact details of the new version of the operating system. It has recently been claimed that the latest update to iOS – 8.4.1 – is going to be the last before the major release of iOS 9 arrives.
Because of this, some jailbreaking teams have apparently decided to take a break and wait for the new version of the OS to come out before continuing their efforts.
We can understand them as well, as it definitely doesn’t sound like it makes too much sense to keep working on tools that are going to become obsolete in a few weeks/months if Apple really are planning that release so soon.
It’s going to be an interesting remainder of 2015 if the company really is planning both a new version of their OS as well as two new devices, but as we said above, just because they’re developing so many things doesn’t actually mean that they will be successful in their efforts. This is probably their most important shot at reclaiming the market shares that they’ve lost lately, and they should take the release of their next devices very carefully if they want to make the best impression possible and see the true success that they’ve been chasing after.
