Apple iPhone 7 to Come Out with Airpods Wireless Earphone? Device Set to be Unveiled on September 7 and More

Apple is gearing up for its annual event this September 7 in San Francisco where the company will unveil the latest flagship phone, new versions of iPads, MacBook, and the Apple Watch 2.

As for the iPhone 7, rumors say that it will take much of its predecessor’s design. MacRumors say that the difference will be those antenna lines which Apple will do away with.

Apple says that it will be a slight difference but it will make a big impact as it will distinguish the iPhone 7 from its predecessors.

Just like the current version of the phone, the latest addition to the flagship phone range will come in two sizes – the 4.7-inch display iPhone 7 and the 5.5-inch display iPhone 7 Plus.

As expected the upcoming smartphone will be packed with a faster processor, better RAM, and everything a notch higher than the iPhone 6.

The most anticipated feature of the iPhone 7 is the disappearance of the 3.5mm headphone jack. Users have reacted negatively to the removal of this staple feature as the new earphones have to be wireless or connect through the Lightning port.

Earlier reports state that a new set of earphone which could connect to the Lightning port will come along with the new device.

However, according to The Verge, the iPhone 7 will come with wireless earbuds called the Airpods. It will reportedly feature a proprietary Bluetooth clip developed from Apple’s acquisition of Passif Semiconductor in 2013.

Leaked photos show the new device showcasing its white Airpods on top of the phone. Apple Insider also shared some photos of the boxed iPhone 7 which indicated that it will indeed come with wireless earphones.

Some critics say that the removal of the headphone jack will be make-or-break for the device. Some tech critics say that’s it’s a huge risk for the company to do away with a feature that has been with the device since its birth.

The upcoming flagship phone is also expected to sport a second camera onto the back which could produce higher-quality photos or offers a zoomed-in view.

The second camera feature is rumored to come only on the larger iPhone 7 model, but the camera, in general, will probably get some updates such as image stabilization, which has been exclusive to the iPhone series for two years now.

Apple will also be doing away with the 16GB storage in its entry-level iPhones and bump them to 32GB, which some users have taken as great news. Reports say that Apple is also going all out with the iPhone having at most a 256GB internal storage model.

As per 9to5Mac, the new home button won’t be clickable. Instead, it will be pressure-sensitive and use the haptic feed to make users feel like they’re already pushing it.

Earlier reports suggest that the tech giant will do away with the traditional home button and will contain an all-screen front. However, some critics have dismissed this rumor as this will definitely consume more battery for the device.

Speculations say that another good reason to purchase the iPhone 7 will be because it will come in space black color just like the first few versions of the smartphone.

Some have noted that the invitations the tech giant have sent out has different bubble colors which could mean that the new iPhone could come in different colors. It could also mean that the new device will be waterproof, but some say that it’s unlikely the case.

The current version of the iPhone currently comes in Rose Gold, Space Gray, and Gold color options. The iPhone 5C meanwhile, comes in different neon colors.

With the launch of the Apple Watch 2, the iPhone 7 will be packed with a better GPS to coordinate with the wearable smart watch.
