The Apple iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus are just a little over two months old from its launching last September, but talks and speculations about the iPhone 7 are already all over the internet.
Given the recent launching pattern of the American tech giant for its iPhones, it is likely that Apple would also roll out two flagship smartphones come September 2016. The consensus is that those will be the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus.
However, the most interesting rumor about the iPhone 7 as of late is that it will come out next year as the thinnest iPhone ever from Apple because it shall reportedly have a thickness of only six millimeters. The information actually came from reliable Apple analyst and tipster, Ming-Chi Kuo no less, reports Know Your Mobile.
The 6-mm thickness of the iPhone 7 will actually make it share the same thinness as the iPod Touch 6th Generation which Apple launched in July.
Reports also have it that Apple will have a faster smartphone with the iPhone 7 as it will sport the next-generation A10 processor which will be paired with a generous 3GB of RAM.
A fantastic iPhone 7 concept
As Apple would surely not release a concept of its next iPhone, a creative Redditor named Afikouras came up with images of the iPhone 7 based on his imagination and shared it publicly. He clearly did not claim that the concept is what Apple will come up with, but more about what he envisions the next flagship smartphone of the American tech giant based on the initial rumors that he has been getting.
Although totally unrealistic, the concept of the iPhone 7 Afikouras has come up with looks irresistibly cool, notes the Phone Arena.
The Redditor’s concept of the iPhone 7 is based on the three rumored features about the upcoming flagship smartphone of Apple including the availability of the fingerprint scanner built inside the display, the device being buttonless and portless, as well as the iPhone being a completely wireless gadget
The techie user also came up with a curved shape of the iPhone 7, which somehow borrows the design of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. And finally, his concept of the next iPhone from Apple features a vintage color style with a darkened area at the bottom, which makes it truly looking great.
A substantial physical redesign
Although, it would be absurd for Apple to make any statement to either confirm or deny the rumors going around about the iPhone 7 as those will definitely steal the thunder from the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus in the market, it seems as if the speculations would continue until next year.
There have been reports that after it came out of the retail markets, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus have posted record-breaking sales for Apple, shipping more than 13 million units worldwide barely a week after its official release.
Any report from the American tech giant at this time about the iPhone 7 would certainly pour ice cold water on the seeming success of the company’s current iPhones and Apple would not want that to happen.
For the sake of discussion, however, and not to entice buyers into looking forward to the release of the iPhone 7 rather than settle for the current iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, critics believe that the iPhone 7 is likely to get a substantial physical redesign when it comes out next year.
The last four iPhones – the iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 Plus, the iPhone 6S, and the iPhone 6S Plus – are fairly identical in size and coming up with another similar-sized smartphone would make the brand bland.
Reports indicate that the iPhone 7 could be thinner than the iPhone 6S by doing away with the cut-down headphone socket.
There is a likely possibility that Apple would launch its iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus in September next year. The iPhone 7 will reportedly sport a 4.7-inch size while the iPhone 7 Plus will measure 5.5 inches.
