The next flagship smartphone of the American tech giant, the Apple iPhone 7, shall reportedly come out on September 7 and shall be made available for pre-ordering two days later. Eleven days after its official launch, the iPhone 7 shall officially hit the retail markets, details Forbes.
However, what seems to be killing the excitement about the Apple iPhone 7 are the reports saying that the American tech company has actually held back current technological trends on its upcoming iPhone, preferring to wait it out and load it all on the iPhone 8.
As such, critics has been saying that the iPhone 7 will indeed come out competent and good but it is not bound to change the world the way that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S7 did it last year and this year, respectively.
It has already been reported previously that the iPhone 7 shall not be a huge leap forward, no matter the exponential graphs of processing power Apple may present.
Coming out with two more devices
The latest rumors are also saying that the Apple iPhone 7 shall come out on September 7 along with the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro and the Apple Watch 2.
The latest notebook and smart wearable have previously been reported to come out in March this year, and then again in June during Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), but they were both no-shows at both events.
That leaves the Apple iPhone launching event next month as the only other possible unveiling opportunity for the two other highly-anticipated Apple devices, notes 9to5mac.
Reports have it that the 2016 Apple MacBook Pro shall come out with an OLED touch panel in its keyboard. It shall also feature a Touch ID functionality into its power button.
There are also rumors saying that in addition to the three devices, the Apple September event shall also feature the launch of the iOS 10, the watchOS and the macOS. But all these remain as speculations pending the confirmation or denial from Apple which is very unlikely so fans should just wait in September to get the real score from the American tech giant.
A third variant of the iPhone 7
Meanwhile, reputable leakster Evan Blass has previously tweeted the release date of the next flagship smartphone from Apple, the iPhone 7, and he said that it is going to be on September 16.
Interestingly, the rumors are now rife that instead of the usual launching of two iPhones, there shall reportedly be three variants of the iPhone 7 to come out by then.
Accordingly, in addition to the Apple iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, there shall be a third variant to be known as the iPhone 7 Pro.
However, all these remain as speculations pending the confirmation from Apple. Thus far, the American tech giant has yet to send out invitations for its iPhone launching event in September.
Apple has deviated from its usual two-year change in design strategy where a new handset is launched after an S year.
Based on current speculations, the iPhone 7 shall have a similar look to the iPhone 6S, which in turn took its design cues from the iPhone 6, the last major design change by Apple. However, there are also reports saying that although the external features of the iPhone 7 do not show major design changes, the company is said to be making major hardware changes to the handset.
Among those major changes in the hardware include the removal of the 3.5mm headphone jack and a few upgrades to the camera.
Apple’s major change this year is the addition of a third variant, the iPhone 7 Pro, which will feature a significant change in the year’s look for the iPhone including a dual camera lens setup.
