Apple iPhone 7 Production Possibly Hit by a Long Delay, Rumored to Be Coming in 2016!

There have been rumors for a while now that we aren’t going to see the new iPhone 7 this year, and while most fans of Apple were hopeful that those rumors would turn out to be false, it seems like we really aren’t going to get a new release in 2015. At least if the latest rumors are true – it’s recently been reported that Apple are pushing the device back to 2016, as they still need to sort out issues with its production.

This might mean a shift away from Apple’s traditional release cycles if it’s true, and it’s definitely possible that we might see the iPhone being released less frequently in the future. Apple are probably reevaluating their market strategy right now, after other companies have started to release their own flagships less frequently in favor of introducing more significant changes in their designs.

2015 might still not be completely void of new releases for Apple’s fans though, as there are also rumors that the company is still planning to release the iPhone 6s and maybe a large-sized version of the device, rumored to also come with Apple SIM technology. If that’s true, then it makes perfect sense for the iPhone 7 to be delayed until 2016, as Apple would still get enough market exposure for 2015.

Additional rumors claim that Apple plan on using a special new Intel chip in one of their new phones. More specifically, there will be a special edition of the iPhone aimed at developing market, which will use the Intel 7360 LTE modem chip. It’s not known if that version of the device will also have other differences compared to its main variant, but it’s certainly possible that Apple may decide to swap out some components in order to make the device more suitable for less capable markets.

Those rumors most likely don’t concern the iPhone 7 though, as that device is expected to have an A9 chip, complete with 2 GB of RAM and various other attractive details in its specifications which should make it an interesting entry into the market. Apple’s smartphones are generally quite powerful compared to their competition, and they at least manage to stay at a respectable level of performance, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Apple adding various other special details to the phone.

Apple iPhone 7

There’s plenty of time left to go in 2015, even until September when Apple are rumored to be making their next big announcement. It’s possible that more news about their devices might come out until then, and if the iPhone 7 is actually coming in 2015, we should hear about it in a couple of months at the latest.

  1. Looking forward to the iPhone 7. I will be upgrade eligible with Verizon and hopefully they will have the same $200.00 credit incentive as they did with the iPhone 6. Fingers crossed!
