Apple has just released its much awaited iPhone 6 smartphone across several countries and is it the right time for critics, fans and media people to look ahead for some clues or glimpses of iPhone 7?
It may sound a bit premature, but it is surprising to learn there are lots of speculations on the Web about next instalment of iPhone device. However, the big question arises whether the mobile market will be getting iPhone 7 or simply the new device will be named as iPhone 6S, similar to the iPhone 5S of last year.
Let’s dig a bit to find out the rumors and evidences wrapping up the question along with some other speculations.
The first thing to find out is whether the name that Apple will be choosing for its next smartphone is going to be iPhone 7. If believed on the traditional naming conventions, in 2015 fans may see the launch of iPhone 6S instead of iPhone 7.
Well, there is one another rumor circulating and it says Apple may drop the ‘S’ naming convention as it means the device is not completely new, but just a stepping stone to the next instalment in the series. One another rumor also adds that iPhone 7 may be named as iPhone Air.
Next question about the iPhone 7 is its launching time. If the tradition is considered the device may arrive in September 2015. Here, one rumor suggests Apple is considering launching its new iPhones twice a year to match with the ever growing market and improving competition as well.
Some fans may also be eager to know the new features to hit the next iPhone. Of course there will be a camera boost and improvement in processor as well as iOS. Size-wise Apple may keep the iPhone 7 display at 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch similar to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
For last two generations Apple has not made changes in the design part. The same may be followed once again. The next iPhone will be lighter, slimmer and to come with rounded design similar to that of the iPhone 6.
There is one another theory too about iPhone 7 design. Apple may come up with sidewall displays for which it has published a patent too. If this is so, the device will be thicker than iPhone 6. Its display will extend onto the sides.
Apart from all these, it is also speculated Apple may use different materials in the iPhone 7. The display may use Sapphire glass and chassis to have Liquidmetal. It is to take note the Sapphire glass is more durable than Gorilla Glass.
