While some recent rumors were pointing towards a possible imminent release of the Apple iPhone 7, more recent information seems to point in the opposite direction. According to the latest rumors, Apple are actually going to take their time with the development of the iPhone 7, and the device won’t hit the market anytime soon. On the other hand, the company is reportedly preparing for the release of another device, the iPhone 6s.
According to the latest rumors, the iPhone 6s is supposed to arrive in the spring, and will be announced only shortly before it comes out on the market. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 is expected to come out in September 2015 in the earliest. Along with the iPhone 6s, the company is also reportedly planning to release the long-awaited iWatch, another device that many fans have had their eyes firmly fixed on for a while now.
So far, rumors about the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s seem a bit contradictory, and it’s not easy to figure out which side to trust. Things aren’t made easier by the fact that Apple are traditionally a secretive company and don’t like to release any information about their upcoming devices until they’re fully ready with their marketing campaigns, so official reports from the company have been few and in between.
It’s also not known exactly what the iPhone 7 is going to have in terms of hardware, although most reports seem to be pointing towards a very powerful device, and a significant upgrade over not only the iPhone 6, but also many other popular devices by the company’s competitors that are dominating the market right now. The iPhone line hasn’t traditionally suffered from a problem with its hardware capabilities, although giving the phones a little extra can certainly never hurt.
The most prominent rumors about the device’s specifications talk about an A8 processor, 256 GB of built-in storage memory, and a brand new design for the screen, using sapphire glass for extra durability and protection. On the other hand, the phone’s main body is reportedly going to use liquid metal, and the device will have a 14 megapixel rear camera. While this may sound a bit small, Apple’s sensors are known to be quite capable, and the iPhone 6 was able to take some remarkably good pictures despite the relatively small camera, so fans have been hopeful that the iPhone 7 is going to be even better in this regard. In any case, it’s expected that Apple will reveal more information about the device in April, so if they really are gearing up for a release in September, more information will be made available in just a few months.
