This includes things like fingerprint scanners, an infrared camera for an iris scanner, possibly even voice unlocking – in any case, there is a strong consensus among users and experts alike that we should move away from password-based security protocols.
Other companies are already taking a very active approach in this regard, and Apple themselves aren’t far behind with their own technology. But they could do a lot more, and right now is probably the best time for them to unleash the full capabilities of their security team, or perhaps even to extend it a little.
Last but not least, there are also some rumors that the next iPhone may not even make an appearance this year at all. According to some, Apple are going to lay low for the time being and they will take a pause to figure out exactly what the market wants right now.
If that’s true, then hopefully they will at least have something else to show, as their users will probably not be very happy to learn that they are about to go for almost a whole year without a new major iPhone. Of course, this is all based on speculation at the moment and Apple are obviously not going to be very helpful in sharing their plans for the next few months, so many users are still keeping an eye out for potential announcements, and keeping their hopes high.
